THE PROBLEM OF CLUB ACTVITY IN FOREIGN THEORY AND PRACTICE

Background. The article presents an analysis of a number of conceptual approaches to the problem of social upbringing of students abroad by the joint efforts of schools, communities, other educational institutions in historical and socio-cultural aspects. The work describes the experience of most common, prestigious and widespread children's unions according to interests.
Results. The work resulted in defining the role of the public upbringing system, social environment, interest activities, creative abilities, activity of trainees in organization of club activity in the context of foreign concepts.
Conclusions. The historical and theoretical analysis, presented in the article, will provide a methodological basis for creating a modern concept of club activity and its organization in conditions of the contemporary Russian socio-cultural situation.
